*'''Apocalypse''': The founder must start their family in the wake of a nuclear disaster. There are sixteen "restrictions" in place (plus additional restrictions if you have Seasons and/or Pets installed) which cause trouble and chaos, and basically throwing a spanner in the works of a normal sim lifestyle. For example, the "Music" restriction means all four seasons must be set to "winter," because the disaster causes a nuclear winter to settle over the region. You must relinquish each restriction by rising to the top of their respective careers (i.e. to relinquish the "Paranormal" restriction, your sim must reach the top of the Paranormal career track). The challenge is completed when all sixteen restrictions are relinquished. To fully enjoy the challenge, it is recommended to have The Sims 2: University, The Sims 2: Seasons and The Sims 2: Pets installed
