The name Vokoban is Nabokov spelled backwards. Vladimir Nabokov wrote the novel "Lolita" about an illicit romance between an older man and a young girl. Also Lolita is the diminutive form of the name Lola. It seems obvious that the story of these sims was inspired by that famous novel.
