Magic gnome: Difference between revisions

The player will never see the Mysterious Mr. Gnome sneaking around, unless they are incredibly lucky. Instead, he will disappear from his current location and reappear elsewhere on the lot. He changes position at approximately 1 AM. If kicked, he falls in odd positions that are unusual for a gnome and sometimes ends up with a plaster across the bridge of his nose. When he moves, a yellow cloud will appear around him, and he will disappear.

Sometimes, the sim will automatically walk to the new location of the Gnome. It is impossible to prevent the gnome from moving; even if walls are built around him, The Mysterious Mr. Gnome will still appear anywhere on the lot. His disappearing act usually causes him to materialize next to an object (e.g. stereo, plant, couch, washing machine). He will even interact with some objects; for example, when he appears next to T.Vs or stereos, he turns them on. (Possibly waking sleeping Sims, so watch out!) If The Magical Gnome Of InventingInvention appears next to a [[Scraptastic™ Workbench]] with an unfinished project on it, he will magically make it 99% complete. A Sim at level 10 in the [[Science]] career can perform experiments on these gnomes. All Mysterious Mr. Gnomes sell for §1,000, although kicking the gnome can sometimes result in a decrease in value, thus making him worth only §999. It is possible to have multiple gnomes in one household. This can be accomplished by using the miner, finding them in random places and hoarding them, or by using the cheat "buydebug on" and clicking on the "misc." tab under the question mark in buy mode.

Can be obtained from the Claw machine in the Supernatural expansion or as a reward when successfully researching ghosts at the Vault of Antiquity. It can also be found on the lot when a Sim is cursed with the haunting curse.

This gnome summons ghosts to yourthe lot.

This gnome has a chance of showing up in a Sim's inventory when collecting eggs at the spring festival in the Seasons expansion. Appears quite frequently when Sims garden as well. May also appear when WooHooing, onin spring. This magical gnome will usually teleport nearby Sims who are WooHooing. Can be redeemed for 500 tickets at the Spring Concession Stand.

This gnome can be found when throwing pool parties, making food from a BBQ, or having a lot of fireworks on your lot.  Can be redeemed for 500 tickets  at the Summer Concession Stand.

When placed, Evil Mr. Gnome will spawn trash around, fight against Mysterious Mr. Gnomes, appear next to a sleeping Sim, giving the Sim "Gnightmare" moodlet; knock over the trash, un-make beds, and create puddles, and steal money from household funds.

}}  This gnome appears in a Sim's inventory after they graduate from  [[Sims University]]. Also, while a Sim is in class, a message may pop up saying "A Graduation Gnome was hiding in between some pages of your textbook," and the Sim will acquire it.
