Malcolm first appears in The Sims 3 as the only child of Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab. He lives with his parents in a large house in [[Sunset Valley]]. He is different from his parents as he is a good, ambitious bookworm but he is more like his father, a family oriented doctor where his mother is a snobby businesswoman. His parents have a rivalry with the Alto's, but he and the Alto daughter, Holly, do not have a rivalry with each other. Could they turn out as a Romeo and Juliette-type couple? By [[The Sims]] he is probably an adult and has a family. Although he did not appear in it, his family are mentioned throughout the whole series. However in [[The Sims (console)]] his great-uncle, [[Malcolm Landgraab (console)]], appears in it as a typical, evil businessman.

He does not appear in The Sims 2 but his younger second cousin, Malcolm Landgraab IV, appears in the game with a mansion slightly similar to his in Bluewater Village. It is unknown what became of Malcolm Landgraab's family past then.
