She is sometimes considered annoying, because a glitch in the older EPs had her calling Sims she knows on the phone all the time, even at night time and during school time. This is referred to as "phone-stalking". Marsha may even phone-stalk Sims she has only met once and has only a 0/0 (or lower!) relationship with. Growing her up to teen with the [[FreeTime]] expansion pack and then sending her to college if [[University]] is installed will stop this strange behaviour.
Like all townies in the Sims 2, her relationships with other townies are usually randomized at the start of the game. Marsha has the same facial structure as [[Joe Carr]] and the same hairstyle as [[Angela Pleasant|Angela]] and [[Lilith Pleasant]]. When she grows into a teenager, she will have the same hairstyle as [[Ophelia Nigmos]]. Since child Sims can not have the latter hairstyle, it is possible that this was the hairstyle she was supposed to have all along.
She has the same last name as [[Garden Club]] member [[Toby Bruenig]] and townie [[Sadie Bruenig]]. While the game does not consider them to be related, players may treat them as being related.
