== Inheritance ==
The Monty family is patrilineal, meaning that the wife takes the husband's name and inheritance passes down through male offspring. The head of House Monty is therefore Patrizio Monty. As both the Capps and Summerdreams are matrilineal, the Montys cannot be easily married to either of them.
The line of succession to the headship of House Monty is as follows:
# Antonio Monty, son of Patrizio.
# Benedick Monty, son of Antonio.
# Mercutio Monty, son of Claudio.
# Romeo Monty, son of Claudio.
Interestingly, this means that although Romeo is presented as being the heir to House Monty, he is actually the last in line of the male successors. As this is similarly true with Juliette Capp, who is second to last of the female successors to House Capp, their romance should perhaps not be as significant a scandal as it is made out to be by the creators of the game as they are far from being the heirs to their respective dynasties. {{Monty Family}}
