To reverse the life state and become a normal Sim again, simply sleep in the Blessed Sarcophagus of the Kings for a day or so, and when you emerge you will no longer be a mummy.
===summoning a mummy===
the manual says that you can summon a mummy if you find (you actually rebuild it of find it in the French museum) the blessed sarcophagus of the kings. this is not strictly true. yo need to find or use buydebug (see cheats page) to get the sarcophagus, and have 5 mummified canopic jars, not just canopic jars. mummified can be found in tombs, and regular are bought.
