Advantages

Mummies are very strong in comparison to normal Sims (although SimBots are stronger), so Sims are normally outmatched by mummies unless they have a high Martial Arts skill level (8 and up) . Sims are also "immune" to a mummy curse if their Martial Arts skill is 8 or over. A mummy can outlive normal Sims by a number of days. Also, Mummies do not have the energy or bladder needs.

Disadvantages

Mummies are covered in old, flammable rags. Thus if they catch fire, instead of the usual hour a Sim has before he turns into ashes, a mummy will die instantly. Because of the fast fire death, Mummy Sims will receive the 'Scared' Moodlet whenever they are in the same room as a lit fireplace, and will "quickly" move to put it out. Also, mummies are very slow, so a Sim can outrun a mummy if he can flee the ruin he is in. Unless mods are used, Mummies are not recolorable in Create a Sim, neither their rags, nor their loincloths and necklaces. Catching fire can be avoided by either getting soaked in showers and diving wells or you can get a sim to take Fireproof Homestead for a Lifetime Wish. They will only be protected in your home lot.

Mummy Sims are unable to get pregnant or impregnate other Sims.
