A Mummies move very slowly, which can be frustration, especially if they have a job as this can often make them late. They gain the atheltic and martial arts skills faster than normal sims and rarely lose fights. Mummies can get jobs, gain skills, and even fall in love. Just remember to fire-proof the home, as they are especially susceptible to fire! After coming in contact with water, mummies will gain the 'soaked' moodlet for 2 hours, which will give them -20 mood and cause water to drip from them where ever they go. This can be caused by showering, swimming, exploring dive pools or any other activities that puts your mummy into contact with water. A mummy also has constant filled energy and bladder needs. They can't have babies but they can adopt children via the social worker.
Interestingly enough, players can add their very own mummy to their Sims' home! To do so, you will need to go to Egypt and explore tombs until you find 5 pieces of the sarcophogas of kings. You must then take them home and construct it. The sarcophogas will randomally construct into one of four sarcophogases: sarcophogas- plain, sarcophogas, blessed sarcophogas of the kings or cursed sarcophogas of the kings. The first two act just like a bed, whereas if a sim sleeps in the cursed sarcophogas of the kings he/she will turn into a mummy (note: they must sleep in it at least twice in a row for at least a total of 24 hours). Also, if a sim mummy sleeps in the blessed sarcophogas of the kings, he/she will return to an ordinary sim. To better your chances of getting the sarcophogas you want save the game before you click 'construct', then you can reload if you don't get the one you want. Also, if you have completed the Canopic Jars [[relic]] collection, you can place all five in the cursed sarcophogas of the kings, and it will turn them into a random mummy for you, this can be a good option if you don't want any of your existing sims to be a mummy. Mummies can get jobs, gain skills, and even fall in love.
