It is possible he was adopted, as the Octavius in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar" was adopted. However there is no evidence to prove that this is the case.

Octavius, his parents, and his wife, are buried atin the [[Capp family]] graveyardcemetery. Like most 'ancestral' Sims, Octavius does not have any [[memory|memories]], [[skill]]s or [[personality]] points. However,If unlikehe is resurrected he will have a random set of [[interest]]s. Unlike most ancestral Sims, heOctavius and his wife died as adults[[adult]]s, not elders[[elder]]s, even though they both died of old age.

HeOctavius has an unused hairstyle. There is, however, one that looks very similar to it, but they are not identical. It is available by pressing Shift and N in [[Create-A-Sim]] when [[Boolprop testingcheatsenabled]] is enabled.

Their son-in-law, Consort, has no memory of Octavius or his wife, hinting they most likely died before Contessa's engagement. Oddly, heOctavius has a memory of the death of an unknown [[Sim]].

If you look in his character file in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]], you will find ana hidden picture of him as an elder, though it is unknown why this picture exists. Octavius' elder thumbnail uses a portrait pose that was discontinued for his gender during development. [[Skip Broke (hidden)|Skip Broke]], [[Davis Dreamer]], [[Gunther Goth]] and [[Simon Crumplebottom]] also have this case.

Octavius's grave can be found in the graveyard of [[Monte Vista]]. However, he appeared vastly different from ''The Sims 2'', as he bears brown hair, browna facial featuresbeard, and sunglasses. He also died of electrocution instead of old age.
