A pond is a pool of water on a lot. If a pond is deep enough fish can be found in the pond and a Sim can begin fishing.
Players can create a pond in the lot by selecting "Ponds" from the build menu and applying it to an area of terrain.
In The Sims 2: Seasons, ponds freeze up in the winter.
