No Maxis cheat or fan-made hack exists to force a gender, though there have been many rumors, none of which are true. These include a fake "boolprop force[gender] 100" or the "twinsr2cute" cheats. Another rumor is that if a pregnant Sim eats gelatin it will increase the chance for a girl. It has also been rumored that the baby will be a boy if the father initiates the "Try For Baby" action, and will be a girl if the mother initiates it. However, this has been disproven.
It is roumered that placing the crib and/or sanitiation station before labour (usually in the second trimester) and choosing either the cameo, green or blue will increase the chance of the child bieng a boy, while pink and yellow will make it a girl. Various versions of this romour, including using the football wall-paper or the pink carpet, also exist. Although this has not been confirmed, players have reported instamces of it working (however, there are no reports of placing two beds to get twins working).
