Resources are introduced in The Sims Castaway Stories. They have replaced Simoleons. There are many ways to get resources:
- Chopping wood.
- Smashing rocks with an pickaxe.
- Gathering metal parts.
- Cutting grass and bamboo.
- Collecting skeleton bones.
- Going to work (this also brings food).
- Selling things.
Trivia
- When Sims are playing poker they use Resources.
- When a Sim is tipping a maid or a nanny, he/she's handing money (probably Simoleons) but it says that those are resources.
- Though when a Sim is paying clothes or food on a community lot he's/she's handing out colorful stones which might be how Recources look like.
