Resources are introduced in The Sims Castaway Stories. They replaced Simoleons, and are the currency in Felicity and Wanmami Island. There are many ways to earn resources:

  • By collecting and gathering: smashing rocks with a pickaxe, chopping wood, collecting metals from aeroplanes, gathering bones
  • By going to work (this also is a way to increase the food level)
  • By selling objects.

Trivia

  • When playing poker, Sims also use Resources.
  • When tipping maids or nannies, Sims will pay them in banknotes identical to Simoleons, but when purchasing something on a community lot, Sims use colored stones which may be Resources.
  • Unlike the § symbol, the Recources icon is a treasure trunk.
