The effectiveness of Romantic socials vary by game. In ''[[The Sims 2]]'' and ''[[The Sims Stories]]'', Romantic socials have no effect on Sims with a bad [[mood]]. In ''[[The Sims 3]]'' and ''[[The Sims Medieval]]'', Romantic socials usually have no effect on Sims that are below Friends although Ask if Single{{vgversion|TS3}}{{vgversion|TS3C}} and Ask Sign{{vgversion|TS3:LN}} will work.
