At the start of the game, she is pregnanton her second trimester of [[pregnancy]] with [[Unborn Ottomas Twins|twins]]. Due to a bug, the twins may end up with a random and/or biologically impossible father, such as [[Brandia Broke]]totally andrandom [[PatriciaSim Wan]]or a pet. This is addressed in the [[The Sims 2: Seasons/patch|Seasons patch]]. Samantha and her family can be placed in whichever neighborhood the player chooses.

Yet, and fortunately for the couple, Samantha's husband seems perfectly content with only her, hinting that the two may be deeply in love. She supposedly lives in [[Riverblossom Hills]], however, she is in the family bin in all neighborhoods.
 
According to her [[memories]], David became a [[teen]]ager after Tommy was born. This is inconsistent with Peter's memories that show David becoming a teenager before Tommy was born. This was probably a mistake by the developers.
She looks very similar to [[Dora Ottomas|Dora]], which could mean she may have been meant to be Dora's daughter instead of daughter-in-law. The reason she isn't is because, to be Samantha's mother, Dora would have to have a different last name, as Ottomas is Samantha's name only by marriage. However, in Create-A-Sim, all the family members have to have the same last name. To make things easier, the creators probably just decided to make Dora Peter's mother. Samantha's actual parents are unknown and she has no memory of them.
