The Satellite Dish is an object introduced in The Sims 4: Get to Work. This object is built with the Invention Constructor, and cannot be purchased without the use of cheats. It requires 3 common metals and 3 common crystals to be constructed.

Every 24 hours, the Satellite Dish can be used to contact aliens or prevent abductions. The satellite dish can be upgraded to detect local aliens.

If you dont want to craft it. You could just do Control + Shift + C to put on the cheats and type in bb.showhiddenobjects

Sims can use the Satellite Dish to start neighbourhood hiveminds, listed here:

Knockout Everyone faints, with a +10,000 "Knocked Out" Asleep moodlet
Bladder Epidemic Lowers everyone's Bladder motive enough to make them seek the bathroom
Happy Town Gives everyone a +2 Inexplicably Happy Moodlet
Angry Town Gives everyone a +3 Inexplicably Angry Moodlet
Dance Party Everyone starts dancing
