However, her mother [[Doreen Caliente|Doreen]], who is a proud witch, strongly disapproves her [[marry|marriage]] to a normal Sim and tries her best to tear Serena and her husband apart.

Doreen went as far as cursing Rick with enormous ears, yet her devious trick did not work well as Serena apparently has a thing for big ears. Despite her mother's mean attitude toward her husband and their totally opposite personalities, Serena is best friends with Doreen. Serena is also good friends with [[Dayvid Musgrave]] and [[Chauncey Grimm]], friends with [[Pip Goodfellow]] and distant friends with [[Branch Timbley]].
