Line 9:
Stylists work in a [[salon]], and there they can make over customers. Stylists have access to clothing and hair options that other [[Sim]]s cannot easily access. The stylist career combines [[Create a Sim]] mode with [[live mode]].

During a makeover, the client Sim appears in a "makeover room" that works just like CAS but only has options for hair, makeup, and clothing. The requirements for the job appear in the upper right, and they must all be fulfilled to ensure success. For example, a Sim who has just received a promotion might ask a stylist to help him "Dress for Success." The stylist then gets to choose an assortment of new clothes: 3 Everyday Outfits, 2 Formal, 1 Athletic, New Shoes, New Accessory, New Hairstyle. When complete, the client will decide whether hethey likes the new look or not, determining the stylist's success or failure.

Success results in higher pay, a relationship gain, and the opportunity to take a photo for the stylist's portfolio. Failure will result in a loss of relationship with the client and lower pay for the job. Sometimes, even if the requirements are fulfilled, the stylist will fail with the message, "[Stylist] did a good job, but maybe hertheir client is just too picky." Other times, the stylist will fail due to lack of Job Experience, no matter what style the player chooses. Stylists can also opt to intentionally "give bad makeover," resulting in messy or badly-dressed clients.
