Game The Sims 2 and The Sims 3
Buyable Yes
Type Fun

Swings are often found on community lots in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. They seem to be addictive to Sims of all ages. When swings are available, Sims will often autonomously go to swing on them, or to push another Sim who is using them. At least in The Sims 2, this is particularly true for selectable Sims on community lots, as they tend to head for the swings whenever they have nothing else to do.

Swings can be bought in buy mode, and can be placed on residential or community lots. Several swings placed side-by-side connect to become a swing set.

Using the swings can satisfy a Sims Fun need, and Social when pushed or pushing.

While swings were not available in The Sims, there was a playground, which is similar to the swingset.
