With the expansion pack Open for Business (OFB) came 7 talent badges for sims: Cashiering, Robotery, Cosmetologics, Toymaking, Flower Arranging, Stocking and Sales.

Since the expansion pack "Seasons", two more badges (Gardening and Fishing) are available. With FreeTime, two more badges, sewing and pottery, became available.

The more time Sims spend gardening, fishing or working in their own business, the more experience they gain. This is expressed through the talent badges Bronze, Silver and Gold. Once a Sim reaches a Gold Badge he or she will not make too many mistakes in that category anymore and the work will go faster as they finally learn how to do it effectively.
