I recently had a Sim receive the plaque message (I use Pescado's nohobbyspam) while he was "away" after using the Farstar telescope. He was already at level 9; I don't know how close to max he was, but I did not get the "maximum enthusiasm" message while he was using the 'scope. :Maybe that's possible? I guess, in theory, Sims keep gaining the enthusiasm while being abducted until they get home. But I don't know. Usually my Sims would've maximized their enthusiasm before ever being abducted. Maybe I could try summoning aliens over and over to see if it would actually give them enthusiasm in my test hood...
