My cousin who owns TS3 told me that you can only have one main family (with wishes, etc), as opposed to as many as you want in TS2. Is it true?

i was kinda sad they toned down certain "Suggestive" things. They removed all woohoo cinematics, toned down the booty grabbing make out sessions on beds/couches, and a few other things. Shame. 216.176.21.111 (talk) 02:18, May 31, 2013 (UTC)

Laundry
It should be noted that, while laundry was introduced in Ambitions and carried forward in the patch, the content isn't included in the base game or patch. Therefore, I removed the note because it would still be considered "EP exclusive"; compare it with diving board. The feature can still be used if somehow the laundry set is installed as a custom content, store content, or one from University Life. This is the same as all-in-one shower from Island Paradise.

One EP-specific example is the rocking chair from Supernatural. You could get rocking chairs from the Store or Aurora Skies, but if you didn't have the EP, you couldn't use the chair. This has been fixed in a recent patch so now it no longer requires Supernatural. It took a long time until EA fixed this issue.
