Dark-Blue and Blue Eyes
Personally I am at a bit of a loss as to why Sims with dark-blue eyes and Sims with blue eyes are not in seperate categories. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:35, December 20, 2013 (UTC)
:It's a little hard to tell whether Sims have dark or light blue eyes or maybe in-between. In The Sims 2, it's possible to distinguish the eye colors but only with SimPE or SimDNA cheat, because it's very hard to tell if we only compare it with our memory. However, it's impossible in The Sims 3, since "dark blue" and "light blue" are based on the editor's perception, and thus, it's a subjective measure instead of objective. "Blue eyes" covers both shades, so it prevents error, albeit less accurate. There have been too many Sims in The Sims 2 using "blue" as the eyes instead of the specific color also, so it's gonna be a big change if we have to check each Sim one-by-one from start. :::::Yeah. Personally, I like being more specific myself. It's just that it's difficult to distinguish the two eye colors, and that the number of Sims who use "blue" eye color is too many... == Broken Maxis face templates ==

It said that a fix was available for Sims with broken templates. Unless I'm very much mistaken, it means that you can make Sims use broken templates as other life stages (besides Adult) whilst being linked to the 'broken templates' and not the 2nd or 26th template.

::Also I think I know why my seriously modified version of the 18th face template was broken. But yes it would be a separate issue. I think it's because if you have certain expansion packs installed - (either University, Seasons, Bon Voyage or FreeTime - not sure which) - you'll be able to choose the last customized face template you made as a starting point in BodyShop (this option is only available in BodyShop if you have already cloned a Sim, selected a face template, and customized it). But for some reason if you use this as a standard, and save it, The next time you go into Create a Sim and chose that custom template, it will appear broken. If you aged that Sim to a different life stage, or the opposite gender, the template will instead resemble the 2nd face template. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:34, November 23, 2014 (UTC)
----
While this thread has dried up, I must point out to anyone who reads or re-reads this, that there's another version of the 25th face template that can be found in Create a Sim, for the 1st skin-tone for adult males with black hair, black glasses, sideburns, stubble, a white top, and blue shorts. This version is linked to multiple face templates for other ages. These templates notably include the 23rd face template for the face, nose, mouth (and possibly eyes), and the 15th face template for the eyebrows. I'm not sure what face the jaw is linked to, however. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 04:15, April 22, 2016 (UTC)

Merging
Line 71 ⟶ 69:
::It still needs some cleanup and additional information. I assumed that the slider with the barbells is for muscle tone, but I don't know. Also, since the demo was limited to YAs, we need info on voices and walks for other life stages. We also need to know if the subsections for clothing types vary with gender or age. == Is editing pre-mades in the Sims 3 safe? ==

Hey, I'm wondering if it is safe to edit pre-made Sims in The Sims 3. I'm not talking about changing clothes or hairstyle, I mean using the TestingCheatsEnabled cheat which I know gives you the option to re-model your Sims. Is that safe or will it glitch the game, age of the character or relationships and family trees? OoppDecks (talk) 08:58, November 21, 2014 (UTC)
