Regardless of what this article says, I once played the Bagley household in Riverview with Rhoda Bagley as a Master Thief, and she was still burgled. If she wasn't at home at that time and didn't have the Brave trait to beat up the burglar, he would of robbed the house. The same thing happened with an Emperor of Evil of mine a long time ago as well.
I pretty sure Criminals Sims DO still get robbed, it's just not as likely to happen because of Criminal Sims being wide awake and working late at night - the same time burglars usually show up.
