"Gala Ball" != "gullible"[edit source]
A "ball" is a type of dance, generally a formal one. To "have a ball" is to have a good time. "Gala", used as an adjective, means "showy" and/or "festive". So, a "gala ball" might be an event at which Gala Ball would have a ball. Dharden (talk) 08:08, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
