Actually, the money bag will suddenly appear in the action queue, even though the Sim is in the middle of doing something. However, I never dare to cancel the queue. :/ How about the other wishes? Has anyone encountered the backfires? :OK, I think we can just leave that as "over time". I haven't encountered the backfires yet, but "yet" is probably the key word there. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 14:04, January 11, 2012 (UTC)
::On reflection, I think backfires are a game-balance issue. In ''Livin' Large'', Sims can get an effectively unlimited number of wishes (at one per day) for only §375, and can have as many lamps as they can afford. So, the general ineptness of the Genie balances that out. They can have an effectively unlimited number of wishes, if the player is willing to risk having the great bulk of them go wrong. In ''FreeTime'', since the Genie only allows three wishes and the lamp is a reward that is rarely received, the Genie can be much more competent, and wishes can usually work, without affecting game balance too much.
