When I resurrected my Sim, he came out with different personalities, similar to when we try to resurrect them via Resurrect-O-Nomitron, with hefty sum of price. This means that the way Genie resurrects is similar to that, although there are 3 possibilities of result, not 4 (There's possibly no chance that the Sim is failed to be resurrected). This leads me to speculation that there's no such thing is failure wishes. Everything is just possibility, or mere side effects. :The wish to resurrect may be a special case, in which there are three possible outcomes instead of two. It could be that they basically re-used the resurrection routines from the Resurrect-O-Nomitron, but with no ability for the player to control which one is used.
