There are a few bits of information missing.  For example, if a sim has a bad relationship with their imaginary friend, they will sit in their doll form and your sim will be able to "apologise" to it, returning it to its human-size state (this happened to my sim: evidence).  Also, there is a glitch in my same game (it's a 100 Baby Challenge) where some of my kids who have moved out's (YA) imaginary friends appear as townies around the town in human form but with the bobble light thing on their head still and with the gait of an imaginary friend (evidence ).  I don't know if anyone else has had this problem? ==Split==
I'm proposing that we split this article. The Makin' Magic invisible friend is very different from the Generations invisible friend. the only similarity seems to be the name itself. The bulk of the article seems to be devoted to the TS3 version of the invisible friend, and the TS1 version is only tangentially related. I think it would make more sense to split them up. :I'm not really sure. I agree with your reasoning, but this case is a bit common with several Makin' Magic topics, such as werewolf and Nectar Making. I don't mind having Makin' Magic section in the page since it only takes up a bit of the content (separating the articles will make Makin' Magic page stub in the process). I don't mind this page to focus on Generations imaginary friend completely either, as long as it doesn't result any stub pages. ::I don't think the Makin' Magic-related page would be a stub. Of course, this gets into a discussion of what constitutes a stub in the first place. While page length obviously is a factor in whether or not something is a stub, certainly if an article gives a comprehensive explanation of a feature, it couldn't be considered a stub. If we were to split the articles, the Makin' Magic-related page, while short in length, would contain comprehensive information about TS:MM Imaginary Friends, and could stand on its own as a complete article.

::Additionally, there's a reason why I'd propose splitting this page and not, for example, the article on Nectar Making. Ultimately, the feature described in the TS:MM section of this article is fundamentally different from the feature described in the TS3:Gen section. In TS:MM, the imaginary friend is conjured by magic and is a temporary NPC. The TS3:Gen imaginary friend is much more complex and flushed-out and is a bona fide life state in its own right. The similarities between the two, aside from the name and the fact that both IFs are associated with child-aged Sims, are limited enough to where I see them as being two separate topics. -- <font color="navy">LostInRiverview</font> <font color="green">talk</font> • <font color="green">blog</font> • <font color="green">contribs</font> 23:32, February 27, 2015 (UTC)

I think we should spilt it, the two concepts are not related (One is an npc and the other is a life state) and one is voluntarily summoned, the other will randomly happen when a sim is born, or when there's a toddler made in CAS. I don't see any similarity. Apples should not be in the same basket as oranges.
