:It's not weird, it's just that it's a sequel, and kids growing up and marrying is what usually happens after 25 years.
:Plus, you said "all of the TS1 kids", that would include Nancy the Paper Girl, the Bratty\Boy ghosts in the Goth Family graveyard, and the kids in the downloadable Hatfield and Jones family.
:And for "marrying each other", that would mean, not including the ghost kids (they were retconned out and fully unplayable), papergirl (also fully unplayable), and the downloadable Hatfields and Joneses, Cassandra would be married to Daniel. Which she is not. Cassandra is marrying Don Lothario and Daniel is married to Mary-Sue Oldie. Neither of these were in Sims 1.
