Although I had always been able to get into my Sims 2 before (I have all of the expansion packs), I suddenly could not.  I did as the walk-through suggested, and everything worked just fine--until today, when I'm right back tot the same problem.  I have to disconnect the internet in order to launch Sims.  Any more suggestions or ideas?  Really, there should be a way to have just the launcher and disable the internet part of it. ~lbaumer~

Notes

I didn't install anything from the collections until I'd already installed all EPs up to and including Seasons. I know that after installing the SPs from the Best of Business Collection, I could still start with the Seasons CD/shortcut, but don't know if that would have been the case if my latest EP had been earlier than Seasons, much less if it had been earlier than Pets. (I do recall that, after installing GLS, I had to start with that CD until I'd installed Pets.) Dharden (talk) 19:32, March 9, 2011 (UTC)

Factual correction

Although I had always been able to get into my Sims 2 before (I have all of the expansion packs), I suddenly could not.  I did as the walk-through suggested, and everything worked just fine--until today, when I'm right back tot the same problem.  I have to disconnect the internet in order to launch Sims.  Any more suggestions or ideas?  Really, there should be a way to have just the launcher and disable the internet part of it. ~lbaumer~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.63.3.22 (talkcontribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

Could you try to describe what you did in steps? You could've not followed the method properly to bypass the launcher. Try reading this. Nikel Talk Vote! 01:58, November 22, 2013 (UTC)
