Judging by the two Stuff Packs I installed from a compilation (H&M and K&B from Best of Business), a compilation that includes the Launcher will place "Sims2Launcher.exe" in any folder where it places an executable that can start the game. I don't know how much help that it, since the Launcher can presumably identify the proper executable even if it is not in the same folder. :Added information on compilations. Path names for University Life Collection and Fun with Pets Collection are based on the assumption that they follow the same pattern as those of Best of Business Collection, which I have. Path name for Double Deluxe is based on an exchange (on another site) with someone who has it. [[User:Dharden|Dharden]] ([[User_talk:Dharden|talk]]) 22:12, January 8, 2014 (UTC) |

Notes
I didn't install anything from the collections until I'd already installed all EPs up to and including Seasons. I know that after installing the SPs from the Best of Business Collection, I could still start with the Seasons CD/shortcut, but don't know if that would have been the case if my latest EP had been earlier than Seasons, much less if it had been earlier than Pets. (I do recall that, after installing GLS, I had to start with that CD until I'd installed Pets.) Dharden (talk) 19:32, March 9, 2011 (UTC)
Factual correction
Although I had always been able to get into my Sims 2 before (I have all of the expansion packs), I suddenly could not. I did as the walk-through suggested, and everything worked just fine--until today, when I'm right back tot the same problem. I have to disconnect the internet in order to launch Sims. Any more suggestions or ideas? Really, there should be a way to have just the launcher and disable the internet part of it. ~lbaumer~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.63.3.22 (talk • contribs) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~
- Could you try to describe what you did in steps? You could've not followed the method properly to bypass the launcher. Try reading this. Nikel Talk – Vote! 01:58, November 22, 2013 (UTC)
The Launcher and TS2 compilations
Judging by the two Stuff Packs I installed from a compilation (H&M and K&B from Best of Business), a compilation that includes the Launcher will place "Sims2Launcher.exe" in any folder where it places an executable that can start the game. I don't know how much help that it, since the Launcher can presumably identify the proper executable even if it is not in the same folder. Dharden (talk) 22:57, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
