==Can you kill a pregnant Sim?!==

In the Sims 3, I've tried for hours to kill my pregnant Sim, and apparently it cannot be done. At the beginning of her second trimester, she went swimming, and then I built walls around the whole pool. She got fatigued from the swimming, then got the drowning moodlet, and then got exhausted from no energy. But she never drowned! During the course of the 3 days of "drowning", she went into labor, and she still didn't drown. That's b***s***. Did they really care that much about not aborting pregnancy in any way?96.255.155.232 07:36, June 13, 2010 (UTC)

Hey guys, I was watching youtube and one person said they have a link to download(For free) the ability to get a teen pregnant. Is that possible? --[[User:Limemabean|Limemabean]] 01:53, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

-With the cheat, yes. I would nit recommend doing this, though, because the game codes were not meant for teenage pregnancy, it might crash your game!--[[User:Bella Goth|Bella Goth]] 01:57, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Bella Goth

I have a Sim in The Sims 3 who got pregnant at 2 days until elderhood. It's now 6:20 am, the entire day before she was 0 days until aging... Nothing happened. Aging's on. Earlier, I tried to make her blow out the candles on the cake as a test, and she could not. They changed the system; your sim CAN get pregnant just before she becomes an elder, but she won't age into an elder until the pregnancy is over. More information coming on how she ages after giving birth. When I posted this information in a forum, I found that someone else had the same experience as well. http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=345089&goto=newpost&posted=1#post2603070 --[[Special:Contributions/76.167.225.157|76.167.225.157]] 04:18, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

==Living Together==
In The Sims 3, it is possible for Sims not living together to have a baby. I tried it with my Rockstar and his boss and to my surprise, it worked. The baby lives with the mother and if you don't have them move in, it does make it hard to build a relationship with the chid (you will lose points if the mother is married to someone else and you try to flirt with her, the child only visits occasionally with the mother).<small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:Devlin Dewe|Devlin Dewe]] ([[User talk:Devlin Dewe|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Devlin Dewe|contribs]]) (UTC) - Please sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></small>

== Baby Gender ==

My Sim just gave birth to a baby. I wanted a boy, so I ate four apples in her second trimester but she got a girl anyway. Is this possible? Since, according to the Wiki page, there is only a 1% chance of having a girl if you eat three apples I think it's probably more likely something else happened. [[User:Deftera|Deftera]] 21:30, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
:The same thing happened to me. My mother ate three apples, one during each trimester like I always do and she had twin girls. So now I have my mothers eat 9 apples, 3 during each trimester.--[[User:Bella Goth|Bella Goth]] 01:13, July 6, 2010 (UTC)Bella Goth

===Influencing baby gender (Sims 2)===
I had a Sim who had a daughter as her first child without any tampering done by me. During her second pregnancy, she pretty much ate only gelatin for every meal (and several times per meal, as it is not very filling) yet she had a baby boy. After that, she had two more girls in a row "naturally". Considering it is reported on the page that eating gelatin might increase the chances for a baby girl, I found it strange. Perhaps I will test it more since the crazy Sim woman wants to have 10 children anyway. [[User:SmellyCats|SmellyCats]] 09:43, March 20, 2011 (UTC)
:By now, I figure the gelatin must work for pregnancies started after having eaten it, since the aforementioned Sim has had 4 daughters since then. [[User:SmellyCats|SmellyCats]] 18:06, March 23, 2011 (UTC)

== Super duper pregnancy glitch. ==

Okay so I did this glitch before a long while back I don't know how I did it but it won't happen again and sadly I have no proof of this and I'm pissed off cause now nobody believes me. Anyways one day My family A man a woman and their child. The Wife was pregnant and it was the child's birthday and they had a birthday cake, the man had a sculpted body and was an athlete so I didn't want to ruin his physique same with the daughter, she was an athlete and I didn't want to ruin either of them. But the wife on the other hand was a couch potato and was already chunky so I decided I'm not going to let this cake go to waste so I had her eat the entire cake. The Next day she had her baby, but then she had twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, sextuplets and it kept going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on, heck after 6 babies were born it kept making the sim on top unselectable and it was crazy and I am dead serious about all this my sim had a never ending supply of babies and I mean it never ended and I couldn't do anything but watch my sim push out baby after baby after baby shouldn't she have just died or something cause I counted like at least 30 babies before I got bored. So I paused the game and saved it for kicks and to see what would happen if I restarted then after I restarted I wanted to get some evidence of this happening but when I tried to restart it it corrupted the game, not just the file the WHOLE GAME! So I had to reinstall the game and I have no evidence and I haven't tried it again because I didn't feel like it and besides a patch came out the next day so I think this could've been fixed. Now I am dead f'ing serious about this glitch here, I may lie alot but THIS is not something I would lie about because this really happened, has anyone else heard of this happening or experienced it themselves? --[[User:Numad|Numad]] 00:37, July 18, 2010 (UTC)
:I believe you, but nothing like that's happened to me. It sounds like a corrupt mod. If a mod isn't up to date with your game, it can cause serious problems like that, so it pays to check back.  If you don't use mods, or they're all up to date, it sounds similar to a problem I had with a dog who kept breeding. If that ever happens again, you've gotta stop and try to delete the babies as fast as they come. Okay, I'm a user here, but too lazy to log in, but I have a '?'. So, I was watching a video on the Sims 3 website. The user on there post a cheatless-cheat. It may sound weird but listen, she said if your sim is preggos, go to a level 10 sim in the medical career (Sims 3 only, guys!) and have him-her examine your preggo sim. He-she will say that you will have a girl or boy. Taking the watermelon/apple thing into mind, eat the fruit of the opposite gender the doctor talked about and you will get (hopefully)...a boy and girl twin pair!! Keep in mind that you have to be inforcing twins!! -- [[Special:Contributions/24.131.224.165|24.131.224.165]] 20:51, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

== Miscarriages ==

==Miscarriages==
On the Wiki page, it says The Sims 2 game dosen't have regular miscarriages, but with the seasons expansion pack, people can have miscarriages during the first and second trimesters. The game does a sequence as if the pregnant person is going through labor, but they're actually losing the baby(ies). I know this isn't a glitch because i bought the Seasons book and it's in there too. <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:Desperaterox22|Desperaterox22]] ([[User talk:Desperaterox22|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Desperaterox22|contribs]]) 15:24, January 31, 2011 (UTC) - Please sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></small>

::If "The Seasons book" is the Prima guide, please say where you found this. I have it as well, and have never seen any mention of miscarriage in it. ::::It must be natural, I have the Sims 2 Seasons but it hasn't happened to me yet. But it's probably quite rare, you just need to keep your pregnant sim happy. When I say that I mean make sure she doesn't starve, and make sure she isn't too hot or cold, what probably triggers it (but I'm not completely sure.) [[Special:Contributions/91.84.60.220|91.84.60.220]] ([[User talk:91.84.60.220|talk]]) 12:11, October 29, 2014 (UTC)Anonymous

My sim had a baby with one of the locals but since then the family moved out of the the house and i can't find them!! My sim just wants to make things right and take his kids back home to raise them... He doesn't know them and they don't walk around town. Thank god for some reason he was able to meet one of them (i dont know how) and he was able to built up enough relationship with him and move him in. Does anyone know how to find lost sims?~?!?

I don't know how this cheat works exactly, but I know that it adds a local to your family. Press ctrl + shift + c all at once on your game and a little bar will come up at the top of the screen (if you know this just skip.) Then type in 'boolprop testingcheatsenabled true' and shift+click on your sim. Find 'Spawn...' and press the Tombstone of L and D (it'll be on the bottom left when you find it.) Press on the tombstone and click on 'Add Family Member' hopefully your person will be there. It will only show the first name, not the second. Don't get your hopes up, because it might not show them. [[Special:Contributions/91.84.60.220|91.84.60.220]] ([[User talk:91.84.60.220|talk]]) 12:08, October 29, 2014 (UTC)Anonymous

The purpose of a nutshell is to summarize what the page describes, If I'm not mistaken. The phrase "Gameplay in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3" doesn't really fit this purpose, does it? So, we could either remove the nutshell parthenon, or improve it. I personally believe it should be removed as no other article, uses it. So I got my sim pregnant about 2 sims days ago after she and her husband got married. She hasn't shown any throwing up or sickness, but her energy etc needs are going down quicker. The game won't let me try for a baby again, it only gives the option woohoo. I tried the Tombstone of L and D to speed up the pregnancy and see if that worked, but there wasn't the option. But it went on for days and she never got her baby bump. When I gave up and thought 'I'll come back to it later...' I made a new family, again it was just the two parents. The exact same thing happened to this family too. I haven't got mods or custom content installed, so I can uninstall my games easily if this is a glitch. :::An uninstall is completely unnecessary here, because it's an issue with the Sim or neighborhood itself, not with the core game files. Try and [http://simmanipulator.forumotion.com/t7-download-the-sim-manipulator download the Sim Manipulator] (read [http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Downloading_for_Fracking_Idiots this page] if you need help with installing custom content), buy it in buy mode and place it somewhere on the lot, then click on it. Find the menu that says "Pregnancy" (you may have to click on "More..." for it to appear!). You should be able to look at the pregnancy stats, if your Sim is actually pregnant. ==Cheesecake and twins==
:No, it's just the two of them. I played the family again and I adopted instead, a baby girl (forgot her name already.) Then and JUST then did the mother start to have morning sickness. But it went on for days and she never got her baby bump. When I gave up and thought 'I'll come back to it later...' I made a new family, again it was just the two parents. The exact same thing happened to this family too. I haven't got mods or custom content installed, so I can uninstall my games easily if this is a glitch. Mind I ask if you uninstall the Sims 2, do you need to uninstall all the others too? (If you're going to re-install them.) [[Special:Contributions/91.84.60.220|91.84.60.220]] ([[User talk:91.84.60.220|talk]]) 00:05, October 29, 2014 (UTC)Anonymous
Cheesecake is very well-known for its ability to magically cause pregnant Sims to give birth to twins, as if using the <code>forceTwins</code> cheat. Just recently [http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Pregnancy?diff=641652&oldid=626297 someone stated that it was a myth], with a reference link. In the link, Pescado insisted that the cheesecake is not magic or anything, and it causes nothing to the result of twins. Further down the thread, he said that the code exists in the cheesecake but it's broken. There's also [http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,3523.0.html this thread], but Pescado kept insisting that the cheesecake does nothing. ::An uninstall is completely unnecessary here, because it's an issue with the Sim or neighborhood itself, not with the core game files. :::From reading the linked thread, it appears that the original belief -- and possibly original intent -- was that eating cheesecake shortly before doing Try for Baby would increase the chance of twins. #I turn on "testingcheatsenabled true" using Ctrl + Shift + C (just to check) and right-click on my Sim. If it doesn't say "Customize Sim in Create-a-Sim" it means she's pregnant! Then I type in with Ctrl + Shift + C "testingcheatsenabled false"!

#Just wait until it says she's pregnant! Okay so I recently started playing sims 3 again because sims 4 gets old fast. But when I get a sim pregnant I hear the chime that lets you know your sim is pregnant after you try for baby. My female sim will get sick and throw up maybe once or twice and then it will go on as if she's not pregnant, it's like she never was. She doesn't get sick anymore, never actually becomes pregnant. I have tried this on multiple sims in different cities and the result is all the same (although one time I had a sim get pregnant but her bump and pregnancy status disappeared not long after). I have tried the testingcheatsenabled to see if she is pregnant, one moment the option to edit in CAS is gone, the next it's there! I have NRAAS Story Progression Mod but I have removed it and tried again with the same result. I have so many expansion packs I would hate to have to uninstall and reinstall them. Hello everyone. I had a question about the pregnancy mechanic of TS2. I've noticed for both female and male sims who are pregnant, they are harder to build relationships with. Not with the sim who is not pregnant interacting to the pregant sim, but only with the pregnant sim to another sim. I'll give an example: Sim A is not pregnant, Sim B is pregnant. While building relationships with each other Sim A gains the same amount of relationship to Sim B as usual in normal gameplay, however Sim B's relationship builds up much more slowly to Sim A. I've noticed this as interactions that give lifetime relationship scores such as a highly sucessful "Talk About Hobby" would gain multiple LTR points whereas the pregant sim gains only one, sometimes other interactions that gain smaller amounts would gain nothing at all for a pregnant sim. Has anybody noticed this little quirk before or is this only a thing in my game? If so, I could add this information into the article. Thanks!
With the aforementioned "broken code," Twojeffs made [http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=16.0 a fix]. But the fix note states that the Prima Guide lied that the cheesecake heightened the chance of twins, while in fact, it's 100% (not just heightened).
