::If that's really the case, then I think we can use that as the basic understanding of townies' Simology points. ::Townies from the Sims 2 base game have randomized careers, relationships and skill points. Some of the townies from Strangetown and the sub neighbourhood Bluewater Village have randomized interests because they have no interests as referenced in the game files. A few of the Strangetown townies like Abhijeet Cho and Blair Mace have incomplete career data so their careers are usually messed up (unless the player fixes this with SimPE or by making them change careers) - if you've had the same experience then you'll know what I mean. Bluewater Village, Belladonna Cove and Magic townies always have the same skills and career (but not relationships). I'm pretty sure what I said about the townies from the latter three neighbourhoods is true and if they don't always have the same skills and career, they will have the same ones mostly. :Oh, yes! That reminds me. The game excessively generates social class townies because the abundant number of them is "essential" for neighboring and roommate purposes. I suggest you use Cyjon's Townie Apartment Resident mod, so that the game will pick regular townies as your neighbors, eliminating the need of generating excessive social class townies.
While aging child townies with FreeTime, they will still have the Grow Up aspiration when they are teens. because I've just been playing The Sims 2: FreeTime and one of my Child Townies just became a teenager. When I checked Solveig Lawson's Aspiration her said aspiration was Knowledge. One of the other child townies Virginia Gothier aged into a teenager as well. The game randomly assigned her an aspiration - Romance. So thus the said information I removed is potentially not true. Not much actually. But all the Child Sims that I've aged up have been given one of the Aspirationss available to Teenage Sims and up. :Adding a line saying that retaining the Grow Up Aspiration is something that has been known to happen seems to be the best solution here. I think if a Child Sim is on the lot when they age up, then I think that they're more likely to retain the Grow Up Aspiration. I'm not entirely sure what the circumstances are, as the only Child Townies that have aged up in my game weren't currently on the lot when they aged up. In the Sims 2 the default townies' aspirations are determined based on their zodiac signs.
Line 101 ⟶ 103:

With Nightlife installed, I always tend to change the aspirations of Pisces and Capricorn townies and NPCs to Pleasure. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:29, July 10, 2014 (UTC)

:What, the aspiration is determined that way? No wonder anyone is barely different from each other. And no wonder there's no generated Pleasure townie. If only there was a mod that can handle this. Are you certain with this find? It's worth mentioning in the article. Nikel Talk – Vote! 15:55, July 11, 2014 (UTC)

I added bits of that information into the articles of the original five aspirations. But it's a good idea to mention it in the article.

Yes I'm absolutely one hundred per cent positive - and of course all generated townies (minus some down-townies) use default personalities and face templates. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 23:17, July 11, 2014 (UTC)

Downtownie Sim Bins and template bins
For a while I've had a feeling that there is a hidden Create a Sim bin full of the face templates and appearances of some of the Downtownies such as this one. Because when I was using one of the hoods of The Sims 2 and deleted most of the Townies and NPCs from the neighbourhood, when the game generated new townies and downtownies, one of the new downtownies looked identical to Ian Byall, except that he had a different Voice, Zodiac sign and Aspiration.

I've also seen the game generate downtownies that look identical to these ones - Zack Sartor, Dominic Gray and Ray Fleig. And when I used the NPC and Townie Maker to create new Grand Vampires to replace those I deleted, one of them had the same facial structure as Zion Phelps and Justus Andersen.

A couple of times I've even seen the game generate a couple of downtownies that use customized face templates that I haven't seen before, though they are obviously face templates from the downtownie Sim bin. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:58, July 30, 2014 (UTC)

University townies
My sim is engaged to a uni sim. Will that sim graduate and be able to marry my sim or will I have to make her playable then drop out? --Icecream18 19:58, June 10, 2016 (UTC)

: If you're talking about The Sims 2: University, here's what to do. Once a Sim has graduated and moved into a regular residential lot, they can invite friends from college to come over, then Propose -> Move In. If the proposal is accepted, the college Sim will transition to Adult and join the household. If you're talking about The Sims 3: University Life, I haven't a clue.
