==Changing voice==
It says that with SimPE, you can change the adult voice for your Sim. Exactly how do you do that? '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde65Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 04:32, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

: When viewing a Sim in Sim browser, you will probably recognize the parts with Overview, Career, Relations etc. Click on Other and you will see the Misc section. On that list there is something labelled Voice Type. There you can change it to the voice you want, although I don't know the codes for the voices. It appears that there are either many different codes, or the codes are completely random. I just copy the code from one Sim and paste it over the code box of the other. '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde65Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 03:36, January 3, 2014 (UTC)
:They aren't random. There are some predetermined instances, and you can only use them, not input random instances. So if you want Daniel Pleasant to have the voice of Don Lothario, copy the voice type instance in Don's and paste it to Daniel's. ::Here are the codes:

[[Nina Caliente]] (female, higher-pitched, "older"): 0x885B
[[Kaylynn Langerak]] (female, younger, lower-pitched): 0x73D8
[[Daniel Pleasant]] (male, lower-pitched, deeper, "older"): 0x6F9D
[[Don Lothario]] (male, younger, slightly higher pitched): 0x7F28
That's what I was trying to say! But your explanation is definetely clearer than mine! So the codes aren't random you say? '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 04:22, January 3, 2014 (UTC)

That's funny, because the last time I checked the game files, Don Lothario's voice code was 0x7F28 as mentioned above, but Darren Dreamer's was 0x8C02. Yet they are both voiced by Stephen Kearin (who does the younger higher pitched adult male voice). '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 07:09, January 3, 2014 (UTC)

Kaylynn's voice sounds older than Nina's to me. '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 04:38, January 3, 2014 (UTC)

And what about the code 0x0000? Does that only work for object NPCs? '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 04:37, January 3, 2014 (UTC)

:The codes vary, but if you replace Darren's voice code with Don Lothario's, it will still work. It doesn't matter whether you replace a Sim's code with either Don's or Darren's - they'll still have the same voice. Those codes were working examples.

:0x0000 is probably reserved for those "untouchable" NPCs, so I would not try to use it on a playable Sim.

:Also, you can ''technically'' use this technique to give an adult a child's voice, and vice versa. Or give a teen's voice to a child, or to an adult. Just keep in mind that since children can do things that older Sims can't, teens can do stuff that other Sims can't, and etc. etc. etc, things might glitch up. I don't know what happens - you may just get Sims randomly not using their voices, or an object error dialog. I don't see why you would try that though. :No I don't think that works. I tried with Mortimer but he still has an elder voice. It appears that the code only applies to the voice your Sim gets as an Adult. The codes seem to be linked either to voice set 1 [Gerri Lawlor/Stephen Kearin], voice set 2 [Zoe Galvez/David Boat] and voice 3 [Object NPCs]. I tried to give Chester Gieke (who is voiced by Stephen Kearin) a robotic voice like a Servo, but instead he got the second adult male voice (provided by David Boat). I think the robotic voices only work on Servos. ::I think we could turn this discussion into a game guide of how to change a Sim's voice... only if we come into a clear explanation to this. I'm quite curious with the development of this discussion. ==[[Bigfoot]] and [[Genie|Genie Midlock]]==
Even though Genie Midlock and Bigfoot are [[Voice|voiced]] by David Boat, if a player summons them or adds them to a household using [[Cheats]], they will be voiced by Stephen Kearin. '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 00:34, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

==Citation needed for information regarding phone calls in The Sims 2==

It appears that the voice on the other end of a [[Telephone#The Sims 2|telephone]] call in ''The Sims 2'' is always the same, regardless of that Sim's age, gender, or life state. The said voice is a modified version of Stephen Kearin's voice.

I don't see how this information is going to be cited. The only suggestion I have would be by uploading a YouTube video of two Sims having a telephone call in ''The Sims 2''. The information about Stephen Kearin doing the voice of the Sim on the other end of the telephone is correct, but while I'm hesitant to remove the <nowiki>{{fact}}</nowiki> template from that fact, without a YouTube video, it seems highly unlikely that we'll be able to provide a source for this information. ― '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 02:59, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

:I've removed the tag, as the voice is always the same, unlike ''The Sims 1''. Never in my history of playing the game have I heard another voice on that phone. —[[User:K6ka|'''k6ka''']] 🍁 ([[User talk:K6ka|Talk]] · [[Special:Contributions/K6ka|Contributions]]) 03:19, July 5, 2016 (UTC)

::Neither have I. I know that I won't be the only person that can say this, but I know those Sims 2 voices really well. ― '''[[User:C.Syde65|C.Syde]]''' ([[User talk:C.Syde65|talk]] | [[:Special:Contributions/C.Syde65|contribs]]) 03:34, July 5, 2016 (UTC)
