Tara is the daughter of [[Ginia Kat]], (although she does not appear on Tara's family tree, maybe to avoid game corruption, since the family remains in the Lots and House bin) who has died, and she believes that everyone should have a cat. She has three cats: [[Mickey Kat\|Mickey]], [[Samantha Kat\|Samantha]] and [[Faline Kat\|Faline]]. Her mother was originally in ''[[The Sims: Unleashed]]''. Now her daughter is in ''The Sims 2: Pets''. Right before the user starts playing the house, Tara adopts a kitten. Tara wonders if her older cats will accept it as a new part of the family.
