*It is speculated by many fans that Tara was actually [[Adoption|adopted]] by [[Ginia Kat|Ginia]], due to the fact that Tara was not included in ''The Sims: Unleashed''. If ''The Sims 2'' standards are retrofitted to ''The Sims'', Ginia would be too old to become pregnant, but could have adopted Tara as a child. She could also be Ginia's niece or other distant relative, as her bio implies she is biologically related to the Kat family.
