In The Sims 3, Sims can teleport to a lot with a Teleportation Pad. It costs 75,000 lifetime happiness points, and can be refunded for §15,000. Occasionally, the Teleportation Pad may malfunction and teleport Sims into different location instead. There is a premium content item from the store, called The Not So Routine Machine, that also functions as a teleportation pad. It has some enhancements over the normal Teleportation Pad, and is buyable from Buy mode for §15,000.

In The Sims 3: World Adventures, Sims can meditate if they have 5 Martial Arts skill points. Sims must meditate long enough so that the "Meditative Focus" moodlet lasts 4 hours. After that, the Sim will levitate and glow, and the player can click the ground to "Zeneport" Sims. After a Sim zeneports, they will stop meditating and lose the moodlet, and will have to meditate again in order to zeneport again. There are several areas in an adventure where Sims are required to zeneport, such as the Copper Quarry tomb in Al Simhara. Also, a Sim who has attained the Master of Meditation (MOM) achievement can teleport via "Tranquil Transference" hisif he or she has more than 30 minutes of "Meditative Focus" remaining. Each Tranquil Transference uses 30 minutes of "Meditative Focus".

Other than teleporting to a location, there are several ways for Sims to instantly return home. This is rather useful when they shouldn't waste much time or just want to escape from tombs, for example.
