The Sims 2
In The Sims 2, Sims can gain the ability to teleport by being skilled at meditation. Sims can meditate if they have at least 3 Logic points, so long as their playful score is not higher than 8.0. It takes approximately 12 Sim hours of meditation for a Sim to gain enough skill to teleport. Once the ability is learned, the Sim will need to meditate for around one Sim hour; after that, the Sim will levitate and is ready to teleport. By clicking on the ground, players can instruct the Sim to "Teleport Here." The Sim will still be meditating after teleporting. Once the Sim finishes meditating, he/she has to meditate again in order to teleport again. This form of teleportation has been known to leave an invisible "marker" in the spot the Sim teleported from.

In The Sims 2: Bon Voyage, Sims can go to Takemizu Village and find a ninja there. Sims can gain the ability to teleport by answering a question asked by the ninja. If a Sim can answer the question correctly, he or she will learn the ability, and will gain a memory of that as well as a vacation memento. Unlike meditative teleportation, the ninja teleport ability can be used without preparation, and allows the Sim to act immediately after teleporting. However, Sims cannot use it to teleport into an inaccessible area, such as an area enclosed by a gateless fence, a room without a door, a room with an opposite-gender door, or a room connected with the Very Mysterious Shelving secret door from Apartment Life.
