This template is intended for use on ''temporarily protected pages''. It informs users that the page is semi- or fully-protected, and advises them to raisepropose appropriate issueschanges on the article talk page, or propose unprotection on the [[TSW:AN|admins' noticeboard]].

There is one parameter, <code>expiration</code>. This parameter is mandatory. Note that this parameter plugs the date into {{t|Countdown}} and gives a running countdown on the template itself, so the format of the date must be compatible with {{t|Countdown}}. Other parameters may be added in the future.
