Template:Speedydelete meta/doc

Description

This template is used to build other speedy deletion templates.

Usage

• 1 - Provide a brief explanation of the speedy deletion criteria. Shown in the title.
• 2 - Provide a slightly longer explanation of the criteria. Shown in body.
• criterion - Provide the letter and number of the criteria you're linking to (e.g. G1). This will be used in the output of the page, as well as the deletion summary should the administrator click on the "delete" link the template generates.
• temp - The name of the speedy deletion notification template for the relevant criteria. Optional.
• rationale - An optional field to allow the nominator to add additional information to their nomination.
• blanked - If this contains anything but blank space, this template will display a notice indicating that the page has been blanked as a courtesy to the reader. In case the nominator forgot to actually blank the page, this template will also hide all of the succeeding page content from immediate view, to ensure the courtesy blanking actually takes place. This should only be used if the speedy deletion criteria calls for the page to be blanked (namely G10).
• image - Changes the image displayed on the template. Defaults to File:W knock over garbage can.png.
• summary - Anything added here is outputted in the deletion summary should the administrator click on the "delete" link the template generates. This summary will be placed after the criterion if criterion is also used; otherwise, it will be outputted like normal.
• self - If this contains anything but blank space, the message about the page creator not being allowed to remove the template will not be displayed.
• nocontestdeletion - If this contains anything but blank space, the "Contest this speedy deletion" will not be displayed.
• notemp - If this contains anything but blank space, the temp parameter will be ignored.
• cat - Determines the categories that will be added to the page the template is transcluded to. Remember to add <includeonly></includeonly> tags around the category to prevent the template itself from being categorized. If nocat is specified, anything in this field is ignored.
• nocat - If this contains anything but blank space, no categories will be added to the page it is transcluded onto.
