Archaeologists believe that this once glorious temple was built by Jumbok IV in honor of his favorite pet monkey. Many believe that the spirit of the monkey may still inhabit the ruins. Visitors have claimed that the monkey spirit is fickle and can be easily angered, leading locals to strongly warn tourists to behave themselves in the presence of the great shrine. Warning: This is not a fountain to be trifled with. | |

The Temple of Jumbok IV is a large fountain introduced in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage. By default, it appears on the Majestic Ruins of Jumbok IV and Ancient Ruins of Numchuck lots, but can also be placed on any lot, including residential lots. The fountain consists of a large stone monument of a monkey's face with water pouring out of the sculpture's mouth, draining into a large basin at the base of the structure.
Up to four Sims can sit on the ledge at the two sides of the basin, two Sims per side, and they will occasionally dip their hands into the water behind them. Sims will only socialize with the Sim that they are sitting next to. Sims can also choose to make a §1 offering to the fountain, and there is a small chance they will get a vacation souvenir from doing so.
If Sims attempt to add soap to the fountain as a prank, an angry monkey's shrieking will be heard, followed by lava pouring out of the fountain. The prankster's bladder motive will drop drastically, although they will not have an accident right away. Other Sims on the lot will walk over and react in shock to the lava flow. Sims can continue to sit on the ledge as normal, but will burn their hands when they reach into the basin and subsequently drop the interaction. The "curse" can be fixed by giving several offerings to the fountain.
The fountain has an environment rating of 10.
