The Sims 2 Beta was an unreleased 'test' version of the The Sims 2. Although it was never physically released, it has appeared in some screenshots and video previews before the game was formally released. It featured many unused hairstyles in it such as the Beehive and Messy hair, as well as unreleased neighbourhoods such as Riverside, Sedona and Waterside. It also included rain and other weather but it was removed due to some bugs. The Beta version also included an extra aspiration called Fame but it was removed before the release of the game. Also the sim's headshot and general layout resembled The Sims 1 but this was also changed to be more advanced.
