During your Sim's university stay, time will move slower in the main neighborhood. The Funds start at 2,500 (at the level you enter the university at) and will rise up to 5000 max (if you fill the green bar completely, this money can be collected Every Day (Please Note that is 24 Game Hours, not 11:55pm then at 12:01am). Since at the minimum you'll be there for 1 term (which is 1 week) you can earn a minimum (assuming your grade doesn't get lower then the starting point) 17,500 while if you keep your grades up you can walk away with closer to 25,000 (That's with allowing for two days to for leveling grades)
On the first day in ''Sims University'' at noon, there will be a "meet-and-greet" orientation at the student union, where Sims can "get to know" one another and get free items at stands.
