The '''criteria for speedy deletion''' specify the cases where pages may be [[Project:Deletion|deleted]] from the wiki without discussion by any [[Project:Administrators|administrator]] or [[Project:Content moderator|content moderator]]. Normally, deletions require a discussion and a consensus for deletion before they can be deleted. Speedy deletion is intended to reduce the time spent on dealing with pages that obviously will not survive any deletion discussion and where consensus by the community has already been established for the deletion of similar pages.
Anyone can nominate pages for speedy deletion using one of the [[:Category:Speedy deletion templates|speedy deletion templates]]. Before nominating a page for speedy deletion, consider whether the page could be improved, expanded upon, redirected elsewhere, or handled in some other way. A page is eligible for speedy deletion only if all of its revisions are eligible; if possible, try [[Help:Reverting|reverting]] to the best version of the page, and nominate the page only if all revisions on the page are eligible for at least one of the criteria on this page.
