::::Sims2Player, another very key aspect of being a great editor is to handle criticism. Even though I have made many edits, added lots of information, worked really hard on the wiki, I still get criticized for my actions from time to time. Hard work is not an exemption from being rebuked. The key is to listen to other editors and listen to what they have to say, because more often than not other people can see the flaws that you yourself cannot see. This applies to me and everyone else as well, and is not a personal comment against you. You need to focus on what you're lacking, not just what you're good at. I am lacking at many aspects of life, and I have to focus on them too, not just the things I'm good at. If I only cared about the things I was good about, I'm as deaf and dumb as anyone who locked themselves up in a room and isolated themselves from society indefinitely. Responding to criticism with anger or frustration is the absolute wrong way of doing it. Criticism is not a means of destruction, it is a means of improvement. You can't learn by being good, you can only learn from being wrong. --I am <span style="color:#0040FF">k6ka</span> <span style="color:#0080FF">Talk to me!</span> <span style="color:#0B4C5F">See what I have done</span> 14:24, September 10, 2015 (UTC)
:::::Dear k6ka, I know, I overreacted a "little" bit. But I understand Nikel. I'm just not perfect you see. I can see my own flaws, but I sometimes get angry too fast. That explains why I have these traits. I hope you can understand, I can... I also want to apologize to Nikel, who thinks he hurted my feelings. You did absolutely not! ::::::<span class="inline-quote-talk" style="font-family: Georgia, 'DejaVu Serif', serif; color: #008560;">I can see my own flaws</span> I respectfully disagree with this statement. There are plenty of flaws that I have that only other people can see and tell me about. There is a saying that "Nobody knows yourself better than you do"; whether this is true or not is moot, but one thing is for sure: you don't know everything about yourself, and often people know something about you that you don't. It's important to embrace this fact and realize that we're not picture perfect, that we're never perfect, that we're always flawed, and that our flaws are a part of us.

::::::Also, if you feel that you are getting angry, it is often best not to edit. Editing while angry has almost always resulted in things that one regrets later, and it can seriously damage your reputation. One very helpful solution is to understand fully that you do not have to respond immediately. If you do not trust yourself to respond, do not respond. Instead, find a way to cool yourself down, usually by getting off the computer. Go for a walk, eat a light snack, hit the gym, or hit the road. Only write a response when you are no longer angry. See Wikipedia:Staying cool when the editing gets hot and Wikipedia:No angry mastodons. Avoiding anger goes a long way in all aspects of life. --I am <span style="color:#0040FF">k6ka</span> <span style="color:#0080FF">Talk to me!</span> <span style="color:#0B4C5F">See what I have done</span> 17:01, September 10, 2015 (UTC)
