When used successfully, a Sim can print his/her own money, which is collected and added to the household's account. The money produced using the machine is not automatically added to the household's account; a Sim must be selected and directed to remove the cash from the bag behind the machine.
There is a huge possibility that a police officer will arrive and fine a Sim for using the machine if the user has a low aspiration bar, or uses the machine for too long. If this happens, the machine will become inoperable, and all money illegally printed cannot be added to the household account.
