Keeping Nominations made by users that are now blocked
I'm just wondering if a user could still be nominated to be a featured editor if the user that nominated them got placed under an indefinite block? For example, if a user was a disruptive user and they randomly nominated a user, and then the nominating user got blocked for whatever reason. Would the user that was nominated still stay on the list of candidates, or would the nomination made by the indefinitely blocked user need to be removed. I'm pretty sure it's no big deal, but I was just wondering all the same. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:57, May 26, 2015 (UTC)
:I think this would be something that we can discuss here, since to my knowledge this has not occurred before. Based on my reading of the page, there is no rule that says a blocked user's nominations or votes are discarded. Specifically, the rules say, "[a] nominated user will remain on the list of nominees until they either become ineligible, or are selected as a Featured Editor." But, if we want to have it so that indefinitely blocked users have their nominations and/or votes disregarded, we can decide that here and now. -- LostInRiverview talk • blog • contribs 13:31, May 26, 2015 (UTC)
