::::I feel like Tim has a good point. A nominee can't (or at least shouldn't) win based only on the nomination or vote of a blocked member; a nomination needs support from others to win. Taken along with the way that K6ka's bureaucrat nomination was handled, I think that maybe the best solution is to disregard an indefinitely blocked user's nomination, but keep the nomination as valid if another user is willing to "adopt" the nomination as their own. I don't know if that RfB sets an actual precedent or not, so I think the matter is still undecided. But I do agree with Tim's sentiment regarding keeping good-faith actions. - <font color="navy">LostInRiverview</font> <font color="green">talk</font> • <font color="green">blog</font> • <font color="green">contribs</font> 14:27, May 26, 2015 (UTC)
:::::I agree with what has been said in the above two comments, and whether or not I agree with what K6ka has said, really depends on the user that has been nominated in question. -- <font color="maroon">C.Syde</font> (<font color="black">talk</font> &#124; <font color="black">contribs</font>) 02:34, May 27, 2015 (UTC)
::::::This is a very good question. I agree with Tim that a user has no control who decides to nominate them. Or rather they shouldn't as that is part of the rules, <s>I think</s> I know because I just checked and it says "Users cannot nominate themselves for Featured Editor, and they cannot ask or encourage another user to make a nomination on their behalf". And it also makes sense that a user should need the community vote to win. I can see that happening with RfB and like nominations because it seems that there are several people who will join in those discussions. But those nomination have an expiration date where these nominations don't. That means that if there were to be a time when there is only one nomination left (and no one adds any new ones) that the nominatee could easily win by default. Or is that not possible? I admit that I don't really participate in Featured Editors because I don't really interact with many other editors except for a few times here and there, so I don't feel that I know them well enough to vote, much less nominate. -- Icemandeaf (talk) 03:01, May 27, 2015 (UTC)
