The name Trista is possibly a reference to the word ''triste'', a word in [[Wikipedia:romance languages|romance languages]], such as French and Portuguese, that in English means unhappy, but this is quite ironic because Trisha Shaw has an happy face. Also, Trista Shaw is the name of two townies in Strangetown.
